The Pro-Line ProTrac Split Six SC Wheels will fit the new Axial EXO Buggy. The EXO Buggy needs the offset from the ProTrac wheels to fit correctly. These wheels will give people the choice to use any of the short course tire from any brand out there today. The wheels can be used for the front or the rear, but the wheels on the front will be a little bit wider then the stock wheels that come with the EXO Buggy. The wheels come in three colors: Black, Yellow, and White.

Brake Discs for Axial SCX10 Truck

We found these Tamiya brake discs in the Tamiya R/C Touring Car Accessory Parts Set. They fit perfectly on a SCX10. It adds more realism to the scale truck. Yet, the most impressive is the realism of the buggy. The kit comes with interior seats, rear engine cover, and fuel cell accessories.

Axial Wraith with Gear Differential - Improve Steering

Here is an easy DIY to improve the steering and turning radius of an Axial Wraith.

By changing the front differential from a lock diff to a gear diff, will improve the steering significantly.

You need:

1 pack of AX30390 - Axial Differential Gear Set
1 pack of AX30170 - Shaft 3x22mm (2 pcs)
1 pack of AXA1162 - O-Ring 5x1mm (10 pcs)

If you want to change the rear axle to gear differential, you just need one more pack of AX30390

Steps:

1. Open the diff cover and remove the internal diff cup.

2. Remove the diff locker. Install the O-Rings in the diff cup and the bevel gear.

3. Install the small diff gears into the diff cup. Don't forget to put back the diff gasket. Put some diff grease inside the diff cup.

4. Now you can put the diff back into the axle. It's that easy!

You will now notice your Wraith will turn much better.

Robitronic Lap Counting System (RS160)

Robitronic has an affordable Lap Counting System (part#RS160). The lap counting system comes with 3 transponders, 4 receivers, interface module, receiver module cable, computer interface cable, and software for the PC. The only thing needed for the system to work it a bridge needs to be constructed to hold the receivers about two feet off the ground. Most people build the bridge with either PVC pipes or 2x2 or 2x4 pieces of wood.

The transponder system uses infrared lights for the transponder and receiver to communicate with each other. The receivers can each read about a foot width of the track. The 4 receivers that come with the system can read about a track that is 5 feet wide. If you need the track to be wider, additional receivers may be purchased separately (part#RS164). The track can be as wide as 12 feet by using all 11 receiver positions on the receiver module cable. Also, if you are running more than 3 vehicles on the track, extra transponders may be purchased separately (part#RS163).

Axial has a Internal Wheel Weight Ring that goes around the wheel inside of the tire (part#AX30545 top picture). The weight of the ring is 57 grams or 2 oz and is sold two per pack. Two packs are needed for per axle. This wheel weight will fit any of the Axial 2.2 wheels. If there is not enough weight in the tire, you may add more weights inside the ring with the Internal Wheel Weight Insert (part#AX30546 bottom picture). The weight of the inserts are 21 grams or 0.75 oz and are sold four per pack.

The Hurtz Shifter 3 Position Dig for the Axial AX10is pictured in the top two pictures. The Dig comes in two colors: Black (part#VPS01337) and Silver (part#VPS01338).

The dig is designed to help the AX10 maneuver the vehicle over, around, and through obstacles better. This dig has three operating positions. First position lets the transmission operate as normal having the power go to both the front and rear axles. In the second position, the transmission sends power only to the front axle while the rear axle is in neutral. In the third position, the transmission send power to the front axles while is locks the rear axle from moving.

A three channel radio and a standard size servo is needed to use the dig unit. In the bottom picture, is the option Hurtz Mini Servo Bracket (part#VPS01019). The optional bracket is designed for servos the size of a Hitec 225MG. The advantage of using a mini servo is it lowers the center of gravity closer to the ground.

This dig unit is a must have to make the Axial AX10 into a competitive competition rock crawler.

Picture above is the new Traction Drive/Elektri-Clutch Kit (part#TKR4301X) from Tekno RC. The new traction drive kit is designed to work with 1/8 scale electric converted buggies or truggies that uses a regular clutch bell for the pinion. The traction drive is designed to keep the clutch engaged at all times compared to a normal clutch bell system that the clutch is engaged by centrifugal force as the motors rpm is increased. The advantage of having the clutch engaged at all times is it allowed the car to have reverse which the normal clutch system can not do. The traction drive also acts like a slipper which lets the transmission slip a little. This is a great advantage on low traction surfaces. The amount of slip in the system can be adjusted by the strength of the springs put in the traction drive.

Here is the new STRC Rear Outer Steel Polished Lock-Nut type Hinge-Pins (part#ST3640R) for the Traxxas Slash 4x4. The stock hinge-pin screws into the a-arm and sometimes it will unscrew itself and fall out of the truck. The advantage of these hinge-pins from STRC are the lock-nuts that holds the hinge-pins in place and keeps it from falling out. The hinge-pin kit comes in two different colors: black and silver.

New Part for the Ofna Hyper 10SC from STRC

This is the new STRC Aluminum Adjustable Position Battery Plate (part#STO21304) for the Ofna Hyper 10SC. The adjustable battery plate lets you move the battery forwards or backwards on the chassis. There are three different positions, 10mm apart, to move the battery. By having this option, it lets you move the battery weight around to improve the trucks handing.

STRC Parts for Ofna's Hyper 10 SC 4x4

Pictured here are some of the new STRC parts for the Ofna Hyper 10 SC 4x4. Pictured first is the Derlin 42T Center Spur Gear (part#STO21037D). This Derlin spur gear is about 1/5th of the weight of the stock metal spur gear. The advantage of the derlin spur gear is quicker acceleration and more top speed. The second picture is the Center Diff. Bulkhead (part#STO21039) which provides less flex in the center bulkhead. The third picture is the Front Chassis Brace (part#STO21128) and there is a rear chassis brace not pictured (part#STO21032). The aluminum chassis braces strengthens the chassis over the stock chassis braces. Next is the Front Steering Upper Plate (STO21127). This steering plate provides strength and more precise steering than the stock unit. The last picture is the Graphite Center Plate W/ Alum. Stand Offs (part#STO21302). The center plate provides more strength to the center bulkhead.

There are a few other parts that were not pictured. They are the Aluminum Hex Adapters (part#STO21017). These alum. hexes are better than the stock plastic hexes because they do not wear out. There are also the Front Aluminum Shock Towers (part#STO21121) and the Rear Aluminum Shock Towers (part#STO21122). These shock towers will add strength and durability over the stock plastic parts they replace, since the STRC shock towers are thicker.

The shock caps (part#ST2267) and the battery strap (part#ST3727) originally for the 2wd Slash carries over to the Slash 4x4. Pictured on top are the Vanquish SLW4 (super light weight version 4) wheels. These wheels have the same design as the Vanquish DH ProComp wheels (bottom picture). Axial West Coast Qualifying Series 2010

This weekend is the first stop of the Axial west coast tour. The winners of each class will be invited to Axial's West Coast Championship. Who will be crowned Axial King of 2010? I guess you will just have wait and find out. If you are around the area, come scope out the latest and greatest. Hopefully Axial will be showing off something new.

By the way... Axial just bought an RV. It's going to be all wrapped up with graphics. Let's see what Greg (the marketing manager) at Axial came up with. Make sure you shake the RV a few times for us.

Robitronic Stinger EB-1 Race Buggy

Here is the Robitronic Stinger EB-1 Buggy that has been upgraded for racing. The new parts used were the Hot Bodies bumper/wing mount set, high down force wing, fullslot front and megabite rear tires. Lunsford titanium turnbuckles for the Kyosho RB5 with Traxxas rod ends. A Kyosho Sword body for the RB5 was also used.

The wing mount and rear body mount from the Hot Bodies bumper/wing mount set was used by drilling a total of 5, 3mm holes into the rear shock tower. The Lunsford titanium turnbuckles were a direct fit with the Traxxas rod ends. Only the front upper camber link needed to use the outer hole the c-hub to make it fit. To make the body fit, the front and the rear end needed to be cut shorter and the bottom of the body needed to be cut about a 1/4 to a 1/2 inch lower than the original cut line. The Hot Bodies tires were used for better grip on the track.
